The deadline for submitting applications for the concession of the Stade de France was set for Wednesday noon. Despite Paris Saint-Germain expressing interest in this initiative, the capital club ultimately decided not to officially submit a bid, according to Le Parisien.

“The Stade de France option was seriously studied by Nasser al-Khelaïfi and his advisors. But the dossier proved too complex with constraints that had initially been miscalculated,” states Le Parisien.

This decision comes after the announcement of Arctos entering the capital, which “played a significant role in the decision to focus on other projects.”

PSG now has two options: building its stadium at a new location or pursuing an advanced project to expand the Parc des Princes to approximately 60,000 seats, estimated at over 500 million euros. However, PSG still hopes for a sale of the venue, a prospect that Paris Mayor Anne Hidalgo currently opposes.
