Speaking about Di María’s departure, Neymar expressed, “It was a very sad day, especially knowing that he wanted to stay at PSG,” referring to the Argentine’s exit a year earlier in 2022.
“Football is Very Strange”
Neymar then touches on his own unexpected exit last summer with a barely concealed criticism. “Football is very strange; one day the whole club depends on you, the next day they push you aside as if you were nobody,” he said. The Brazilian was sold under the pressure of Mbappé’s camp, although the latter never confirmed this influence.
