Ruled Out for Now, Future Uncertain

Despite the decision to forgo surgery, Loic Tanzi of L’Equipe reports that Kylian Mbappé is not expected to play against the Netherlands this Friday at 9 PM, for the second match of the French team in Euro 2024, Group D.

RMC Sport also announced that Mbappé will be rested. “He could play on Friday but is expected to be preserved by the staff.” Furthermore, “everything remains possible for Tuesday’s match against Poland, which would not be decisive if the French team manages to win against the Netherlands, thereby securing their place in the round of 16.”

According to Canal+, “Kylian Mbappé is ruled out for the match against the Netherlands! He will wear a mask for the rest of the competition. The healing of his injury and the sporting stakes will dictate a potential return against Poland.”
