After the narrow qualification for the UEFA Champions League Round of 16, PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaïfi has confirmed that Luis Enrique will continue as the head coach.

While Luis Enrique’s position wasn’t seriously in jeopardy even with elimination, Al-Khelaïfi emphasized the coach’s stability within the club. “Honestly, since the first match with our new style and Luis Enrique, we’ve done really good work on the style of play, what we want, on what we like. It’s a very offensive game, and that’s what we want, to play. The coach is really very motivated about the same things as us,” stated Nasser Al-Khelaïfi.

“We signed with him for an offensive game, a match where we can score, where we can win, and there are matches where we can’t. That’s football,” added the PSG president on Canal+.

Reflecting on the Champions League group stage, Al-Khelaïfi acknowledged the challenges. “It’s true that the goal was to finish first. It’s still good; we are qualified, even if it was complicated, with the match against Milan away, against Newcastle. We lost the first one, and today we deserved to win this match. We played a great game, didn’t score, came close, but didn’t score. We did the job, and we are satisfied because the group wasn’t easy.”
