Luis Enrique, the new PSG coach, has shared his thoughts on his new role.
Luis Enrique is eager to get started. While he won’t be playing, he aims to transmit his enthusiasm to his players. “I am very happy, proud, and excited to begin. Everything is new, and when it’s new, it’s like stepping out of your comfort zone. But I am motivated because it’s a new country, a new city, new players, new people to live with, a new team. Lots of new things, but all of it is very positive, and as I said, I can’t wait to start,” he stated.
“The main reason for coming to PSG? It’s because the club’s leaders have a very clear idea of the team they want to build and the project they want to construct, utilizing the resources that Paris Saint-Germain has. And I don’t just mean economic resources; I also mean infrastructure resources. Starting from there, I believe this project brings together everything that a coach of my level needs.”
“I think those who have seen my teams play have some idea of my philosophy. I am clearly an offensive-minded coach. With my staff, we want a team that plays from the first minute, a team that doesn’t calculate but attacks. We want our supporters to enjoy watching us play and for the players to enjoy representing Paris Saint-Germain.”
