Kylian Mbappé Pays Tribute to Retired Eden Hazard

In the end, there’s no more doubt: Eden Hazard has announced his retirement from professional football. This marks the end of an era for Belgian football.

Eden Hazard made the retirement announcement at just 32 years old, despite interest from several clubs looking to revive the player’s career after his departure from Real Madrid last summer, following four challenging years.

In his statement on social media, Hazard said, “One must know how to listen to oneself and say stop at the right moment. After 16 years of a career and more than 700 games played, I have decided to put an end to my professional football career. I was able to fulfill my dream, play and have fun on the pitches across Europe and the world. Now, it’s time to enjoy my loved ones and experience new things. See you soon off the pitch.”

Hazard also expressed his gratitude to the various clubs he played for, including LOSC, Chelsea, Real Madrid, and, of course, the Belgian national team.

Kylian Mbappé paid tribute to the Belgian player as well. The PSG forward honored Hazard on social media, writing, “The great Eden. Thank you.”
