Kylian Mbappé (24 years old, 74 caps, 46 goals) shared his thoughts after France’s victory against Gibraltar (14-0), where he scored three goals and provided three assists. The Paris Saint-Germain forward discussed his role as captain of the national team.

The Mbappé in the French national team is different from the one at PSG, a change that has been widely noted, especially since he took on the captain’s armband. The player acknowledged this transformation after the 14-0 win over Gibraltar, during which Mbappé delivered several decisive passes to his teammates.

“The armband obliges you to change, even if you don’t want to change. You’re not made to be a captain if you don’t change. As they say, there’s only fools who don’t change,” Mbappé remarked.

“When I wasn’t captain, of course, there was a somewhat more individualistic vision of my game, of my performance. Now, when you’re captain, you have to think about others above all. What you do, we know you can do. The goal is to try to bring everyone together so that the team becomes one, and we achieve results like today,” stated the PSG striker in an interview with TF1.
