“When was the last time you went to buy a baguette alone on foot?” the journalist asked him before the athlete replied frankly, “Oh… I don’t even remember.”
“In fact, these are such simple things and were chores when I was little, when my father would tell me: ‘Go get this,’ and I would pay so much now to do these kinds of things that mean nothing to most people,” confessed the captain of the French national team to Elise Lucet.
“I’ve lost the spontaneity, the spontaneity of being human: ‘I want to go out and do this, so I do it.’ No, everything is a matter of organization… Going to eat quietly at a brasserie, going out with friends, partying incognito, the next morning a good brunch in the sun on a terrace… That’s what I miss the most,” admitted the Parisian.
