Luis Fernandez, the former PSG coach, has shared his opinion on the Mbappé situation.

In the Spanish press, Luis Fernandez weighs in on the standoff between Kylian Mbappé and PSG. According to Luis, Kylian Mbappé is not in a good state.

“Mbappé is deeply affected, he is not doing well. With this situation, I think he will leave. PSG is deliberately pressuring the player to decide whether to stay or leave, to show who is the real boss,” he said on Cadena Ser.

“He is in a situation where he has to leave,” he stated. “They (PSG’s management) did not take him to Japan, and this trip was very important for the club’s image. They made this decision to put pressure on him. It’s something he didn’t like. He wants to show that it didn’t affect him, but he is really affected. During his first training session with his teammates, he stopped to take photos, sign autographs… he had never done that before.”

“With this situation, I see him leaving PSG. Otherwise, the situation will be a bit strange. A player within a group should feel good, happy, comfortable (…) This guy will get angry and be unhappy. The rest of the group will notice and feel it too. If the team wins, no one can say anything, but if it doesn’t, there will be comments like ‘Why is Mbappé not on the field?'”
