After six years at Paris Saint-Germain, German World Cup champion Julian Draxler recently departed for Al-Ahli in Qatar.

Draxler, who had been a part of the PSG family since 2017, took to his social media to bid a heartfelt farewell to the club and its fans.

In his message, he reflected on the turbulent final days and weeks at the club, expressing a desire for a better ending. However, he also emphasized the wonderful memories he had created during his time in Paris.

“Dear PSG family, even though the last few days and weeks were turbulent, and I would have wished for a better ending: all in all, I remember a wonderful time in Paris – and that’s what will stay with me forever,” Draxler shared.

He went on to acknowledge the personal growth he had experienced during his time at PSG, transitioning from a young man to a family-oriented adult who had seen the world and learned valuable lessons both on and off the field.

“I arrived in 2017 as a young man, and I am now leaving as a grown family man who has seen the world and learned a lot on and off the pitch over the past six years,” Draxler wrote on his Instagram.

He concluded his farewell message by expressing gratitude to every member of the PSG organization, from staff and fans to coaches, sporting directors, teammates, and companions. Draxler acknowledged their collective achievements, including winning major titles and overcoming both victories and setbacks together.

“All these memories will remain in my heart forever, all these experiences will forever strengthen me. Thank you, PSG! Ici, c’est Paris,” he concluded, reaffirming his deep connection with the club.
