“It’s a prison, they Blackmail players” : Former Verratti Agent Accuses PSG

Marco Verratti

Donato Di Campli, former agent of Marco Verratti, makes serious accusations against PSG.

Donato Di Campli and PSG had a bitter end to their relationship. The Italian agent was involved in the true-false departure of Marco Verratti to Barcelona in 2017. Since then, Verratti has replaced him with Mino Raiola, and then with the structure that took over after his death.

And Donato Di Campli has not taken it well. In an interview with Relevo, the agent unleashes his criticism against PSG. “In Paris, the players are imprisoned, they never do what they want, but what the club wants, it’s a prison and there is blackmail.”

“The attitude of PSG is always that of blackmail. We had decided to go to Barcelona. Obviously, the emir didn’t like it. Al-Khelaïfi even told me that if I continued trying to make the deal with Barcelona, Verratti would leave me, and that’s what happened. I’m sure Marco was scared, he won’t admit it, but that’s how it was. From the moment he arrived, Verratti was in prison,” he said.

“When we were talking with Barcelona, PSG met with him several times, they told him they were going to sign Neymar, that they were going to build a project around him. If you oppose them, everything becomes personal. The former president Bartomeu kept calling Al-Khelaïfi, and he never answered, never picked up the phone. My experience with them is very, very bad. They only care about money, it’s a club without a soul. They don’t let you leave because the emir and Al-Khelaïfi think everything is buyable, that they can conquer the world just with money. But we have already seen that it’s not possible,” concluded the Italian agent.
