PSG secured their spot in the Coupe de France final with a 2-0 victory over Rennes. Lucas Hernandez and Gigi Donnarumma shared their thoughts after the match.

The qualification for the Coupe de France final marks a significant achievement for PSG, ending a two-year absence from the final stage. Gigi Donnarumma expressed his satisfaction with the team’s performance, emphasizing the importance of winning the final. He thanked the supporters for their unwavering support and stressed the team’s focus on taking each match one step at a time.

“Now we will focus on Clermont. Then we will think about Barcelona, which is the team’s priority and the most important goal of the season,” stated the Italian goalkeeper.

Lucas Hernandez echoed Donnarumma’s sentiments, expressing his delight at reaching the final and highlighting the upcoming challenges, particularly the crucial matches against Barcelona.

“Reaching the final was one of our objectives. We are here, and now we have one match against Lyon. We will give our all to win and chase the trophy. We have a tough April ahead, with big matches, including the double confrontation against FC Barcelona,” said Hernandez.

“We are on the right track, and it’s up to us to continue this way. At the beginning of the season, our goal was to compete for all trophies: we are in the final of the Coupe de France, performing well in the league, and now it’s our job to do the work against Barcelona in the Champions League,” he added.
