PSG’s performance has improved slightly in comparison to last season, but Luis Enrique believes that they have not yet reached their optimal level.

During a press conference on Thursday, Luis Enrique discussed PSG’s playing style. According to the Spanish coach, there has been progress, but there is still room for improvement. “Honestly, we always have a global perception. I don’t compare with my previous experiences. We are very pleased with the attitude and commitment of the players. I’m optimistic, very happy with what I see. But there is still a lot of room for improvement because I am very ambitious.”

Could the team’s playing style evolve in the coming weeks? According to Luis Enrique, nothing is set in stone. “It’s a constant evolution. I’m trying to make PSG unpredictable for the opponent but predictable for us. It’s a complex process that takes time to implement.”

“It’s different from what I did with the national team, and in this scheme, there can be four offensive players. It can be challenging to understand from the outside. My idea, I repeat, is to have endless attacking formations with the same players. To become unpredictable for the opponent and, therefore, difficult to counter. I’m happy with how the players are assimilating this process. It will take time, and it will be better when I explain it in French.”
