“I was very scared, especially for Alessia. I feared something might happen to her. I felt helpless, tied up, unable to do anything. Moreover, my French language skills are limited, making it difficult to communicate with the intruders about the whereabouts of their desired belongings. Alessia was with them, and she was still very frightened. I was terrified at the thought of them hurting her.”
