Kylian Mbappé will debut with his mask this Tuesday evening. The captain of Les Bleus is expected to start and will wear his protective gear just days after his fracture. Robert Lewandowski, who had to wear such a mask in 2015, remembers the discomfort it caused.
“When I had to wear a mask myself, it wasn’t pleasant. It’s quite bothersome, especially in the penalty area, I had issues, I couldn’t react well, my field of vision was hindered… It’s a matter of milliseconds but it can slow down a player.”
