Didier Drogba, the former Olympique de Marseille striker, recently revealed that he could have once been a player for PSG.

Drogba, who still holds a special place in the hearts of OM fans 20 years later, had an iconic 2003-2004 season, scoring 32 goals and reaching the UEFA Cup final. In an interview, he shared that he almost signed with Paris Saint-Germain, even visiting Camp des Loges for a trainee contract. “I nearly signed with PSG; I went to Camp des Loges to sign a trainee contract, but it didn’t happen because I didn’t want to skip any steps,” he explained.

Though he never played for PSG, Drogba famously mocked the club during his time at Chelsea, celebrating a goal at Parc des Princes by shouting, “Allez l’OM.” For the upcoming OM-PSG match, he remains a loyal supporter of the Marseille club: “After my goal, I turned to their fans and did it spontaneously. It was really to show them I was there and wasn’t backing down just because it was an ex-rival.”
