Following Paris Saint-Germain’s disappointing 1-2 defeat against AC Milan in the Champions League on Tuesday, Emmanuel Petit, a consultant for RMC radio, has expressed doubts about the reigning French champion’s performances at the start of this season.

“It’s the impression it leaves me since the beginning of the season. They have changed their sporting plan, many players have left, others have arrived and are young; it needs to gain strength with a new coach and a new philosophy. I understand that,” said Petit.

“Nevertheless, when I finish watching a PSG match, I feel that last year there were players much more calibrated, capable of making differences. There was already a dependence on Mbappé, but it was shared with Neymar and Messi. Today, if Mbappé doesn’t score, I don’t know who will.”

“Even worse, I have never seen PSG concede so much defensively and have a block so divided. There are deficiencies in every line, with a lower level; I consider that the team is weaker than last year,” analyzed the former Chelsea midfielder on Friday.
