As part of the investigation into the allegations of discrimination at OGC Nice, Christophe Galtier and his adopted son John Valovic-Galtier were placed in police custody in Nice on Friday.

A twist in the case of racism allegations in Nice. The prosecutor announced on Friday that Christophe Galtier and his son John Valovic-Galtier were placed in police custody at 8:45 AM in Nice as part of the ongoing investigation. The Parisian coach had been summoned by investigators in relation to the case of “discrimination based on alleged race or religious affiliation.” He is therefore cooperating with the judicial police in Nice.

According to RMC, Christophe Galtier’s adopted son has been released from police custody. However, the PSG coach remains in custody as of Thursday afternoon.

Police custody is a measure that restricts one’s liberty, allowing investigators to have the person at their disposal for a limited period of 24 hours. At the end of this period, the person may either be released or brought before the court to decide on any further legal actions.
