“It’s for personal reasons; he’s doing very well. Tomorrow, he will be in the group to play the match. I won’t comment on this matter; there’s nothing serious. It won’t have any influence for tomorrow,” said Luis Enrique, PSG’s coach, in a press conference on Friday, not providing many details about Achraf Hakimi’s absence.
According to RMC Sport, Achraf Hakimi was absent from training at PSG’s Campus (Poissy, Yvelines) “to be heard as part of a confrontation after being placed under investigation for rape,” according to corroborating sources.
“It’s a logical continuation of the procedure. As a reminder, the defense had requested this confrontation from the beginning of the investigation,” assures RMC Sport.
The 24-year-old Moroccan international is accused by a young woman who claims to have been assaulted on February 25, 2023, at the player’s home in Hauts-de-Seine. The athlete’s lawyer believes that her client is the subject of an “attempted extortion” and denies any aggression.
