Last summer, Neymar made a move from Paris Saint-Germain to Al-Hilal. However, according to statements from his former PSG captain, Thiago Silva, Neymar would have preferred to remain in the French capital.

Neymar didn’t want to leave. According to Thiago Silva, the Brazilian would have liked to continue with PSG to pursue the dream of winning the Champions League.

“Neymar would certainly have liked to stay. Winning the Champions League was his dream,” affirmed the Brazilian in comments transcribed by Le Parisien. “My dream, like Neymar, Marquinhos, and Verratti, was to win the Champions League, I can assure you. Marquinhos still has a chance, but with PSG, it’s over for us.”

Thiago Silva then expressed some criticism of PSG: “Normally, even failure allows you to progress. You take one step back and two forward. It wasn’t like that at PSG: we took one step forward and three backward. It was really tough. The pressure was too much.”
