Kylian Mbappé, the 24-year-old forward of Paris Saint-Germain, is well on his way to winning his sixth consecutive Ligue 1 top scorer title.

The Professional Football League (LFP) has decided to add a distinctive “S1″ badge to the top scorer’s shirt in the league. If Mbappé maintains this pace, he will add another accolade to his already impressive list and continue to make history as one of Ligue 1’s top scorers.

‘More than just a badge, the S1 is a real design object, designed by Tyrsa, the artist who has already made a name for himself with numerous collaborations with prestigious brands such as Dior, Louis Vuitton, Moncler, and with artists like FKA Twigs or Childish Gambino,’ said the league in a statement.

‘After each matchday, the race for the Top Scorer badge will be celebrated in a video featuring the protagonists of the goal-scoring standings. Over the matchdays and the evolution of the standings, the badge will thus be liable to change owner until the final consecration at the end of the 34th Ligue 1 matchday, scheduled for Saturday, May 18, 2024, and the awarding of the S1 season’s best scorer trophy,’ the text adds. Against Monaco this Friday (9 p.m.), it will be Pauleta who presents this special shirt to Mbappé.”
