Bernardo Silva has discussed his future in an interview, putting an end to any hopes PSG might have had: targeted by PSG last summer, the Portuguese player reveals his desire to return to… Benfica.

Any chance of Bernardo Silva joining PSG is definitively over. The player has shared his end-of-career plan, indicating a return to his youth club, Benfica Lisbon: “Of course, I want to come back, and I hope it will happen one day […], but at the moment, it would be impossible because Manchester City would ask for a lot of money,” he said in an interview with Bola.

“I am a player valued at over 50 million (euros). No Portuguese club can pay that amount. If I come back, it will be at the end of my contract,” he added. Bernardo Silva is even valued at 80 million euros according to the website transfermarkt.

His contract with Manchester City only expires in 2026. Benfica will have to wait, even though the player has a release clause next summer of around 50 million euros.
