Injured in his left ankle during Paris Saint-Germain’s 4-1 victory over Stuttgart on January 29, Warren Zaïre-Emery is nearing his comeback.
The 18-year-old midfielder, who has played 18 matches and scored one goal in Ligue 1 this season, will not be fit in time for the Coupe de France quarter-final against Saint-Brieuc this Wednesday (9:10 PM), according to Le Parisien.
Return Expected for the Champions League
However, he could make his return as early as Saturday in the Ligue 1 clash against Lille (9:05 PM), depending on his condition and recovery progress. The PSG staff remains optimistic about his availability for the first leg of the Champions League Round of 16 against Liverpool on March 5.
This is excellent news for PSG, as they look forward to having one of their key players back for this crucial European fixture.
