Ahead of PSG’s Coupe de France quarter-final against Stade Briochin, Luis Enrique addressed the media, discussing squad rotation, match priorities, and physical preparation.
A Match Not to Be Taken Lightly
The Spanish coach issued a warning: “In the Coupe de France, more than half of the Ligue 1 teams have been eliminated. We struggled against Espaly and Le Mans—it’s impossible to relax. We will suffer tomorrow, there is no doubt about it.”
Squad Rotation and Managing Ramos
A lineup shake-up is expected, but Luis Enrique sees the bigger picture: “The most important match is tomorrow, but we need a global view of the 10-12 games ahead. Rotations happen naturally.” He also praised Ramos’ influence, even when not playing: “Even when he doesn’t play, he’s important. His mentality is impeccable.”
Constant Improvement
Enrique remains ambitious about PSG’s growth: “I have no ideal, because it doesn’t exist in football. You have to keep improving, otherwise everything falls apart.” He also emphasized physical preparation, a key focus for the squad.
While rotation is likely, PSG is carefully managing its squad with Liverpool in mind.
