PSG Among Top Contenders for Acquisition of Stade de France

According to L’Equipe, PSG is one of three candidates in the running to acquire the Stade de France. The PSG file has been approved. The club submitted its application to purchase the Stade de France in April of this year.

According to L’Equipe, the French government, which owns the stadium, “has shortlisted at least three candidates for the purchase and/or concession of the Stade de France starting from July 2025. They are eligible for the upcoming tender documents. For the purchase, the PSG file has been selected, along with the Bouygues-Vinci consortium and a third candidate.”

“As for the concession, the Bouygues-Vinci duo, the current concession holder, has also had its file selected. However, there are doubts regarding the GL Events file, which includes the Accor Arena with the Paris City Hall, especially after the statement made by Mayor Anne Hidalgo on Wednesday during a Paris council meeting, where she announced that the city was not interested in either the purchase or the concession,” explained L’Equipe.

This news comes as PSG has once again accused the Paris City Hall of obstructing the potential sale of the Parc des Princes. The club seems to be gradually moving away from its historic stadium.
