Parc des Princes: A Dilemma for PSG… The Parc des Princes faces an uncertain future as PSG prepares to move on in the coming years. But what will happen to the iconic stadium if the first team leaves? Several possibilities are being considered.
PSG is expected to leave the Parc des Princes within the next 10 years, but a full departure won’t be easy. The club remains contractually tied to the stadium—owned by the City of Paris—until 2044, under an agreement signed in 2013.
This contract requires PSG to pay a fixed fee of €1 million per year, plus a variable percentage (3% to 7%) of its revenue. While the club has the option to terminate the contract early, doing so would cost between €14 million and €21 million.
Alternative Uses for the Stadium
Instead of paying the hefty exit fee, PSG is considering repurposing the venue to make it profitable. Possible plans include hosting youth matches, concerts, and corporate events. “All options are on the table,” a club source told RMC.
While PSG’s future home remains undecided, one thing is clear: the club’s story with the Parc des Princes is far from over.
