When it comes to player wages, Paris Saint-Germain are in a league of their own. According to L’Équipe’s annual ranking of gross monthly salaries (excluding bonuses), the capital club not only top the Ligue 1 standings — they top the payroll as well.
Dembélé Takes the Top Spot
Ousmane Dembélé is now officially the highest-paid player in Ligue 1, earning €1.5 million per month. While that’s still a far cry from the €6 million monthly Kylian Mbappé earned before his departure, it’s more than enough to lead a top 10 made up entirely of PSG players.
Trailing Dembélé are:
- Marquinhos – €1.12M
- Lucas Hernandez – €1.1M
- Achraf Hakimi – €1.1M
- Warren Zaïre-Emery – €950K
- Vitinha – €900K
- Kvaratskhelia – €900K
- Gianluigi Donnarumma – €849.5K
- Nuno Mendes – €800K
- Presnel Kimpembe – €640K
Twelve PSG players occupy the top 12 spots in the ranking.
The Rest of Ligue 1 Is Miles Behind
The first non-PSG players on the list are from Marseille and Lyon: Adrien Rabiot, Pierre-Emile Højbjerg (both OM), and Alexandre Lacazette (OL) — each earning €500K per month. Other top earners include Kondogbia, Bennacer, and Tolisso at €450K, followed by Brice Samba and Seko Fofana (Rennes) at €400K, and Gaëtan Laborde (Nice) at €320K.
The data paints a stark picture of the financial gap in French football. On and off the pitch, PSG remain unchallenged at the top.
