Ousmane Dembélé is unstoppable. With 23 goals in 28 matches across all competitions, including 15 in just 8 games in 2025, the Paris Saint-Germain winger is experiencing an exceptional run of form.
Now playing in a more advanced position, Dembélé has been on fire. Since being converted into a No. 9 by Luis Enrique at the start of 2025, the Frenchman has completely transformed his game in recent matches.
A Tactical Shift Paying Off
Speaking to Canal+ after another standout performance, Dembélé shared the reasons behind his newfound efficiency in front of goal:
“As I said, I’m now playing as a No. 9. I have fewer long runs to make, I’m more composed in front of goal, and my teammates provide great service. Some goals are just simple tap-ins because Bradley (Barcola) and Désiré (Doué) do most of the work. I just position myself well and finish the job.”
This shift in role has unlocked a new level of productivity for Dembélé, who is proving to be a crucial asset for PSG’s attacking force in 2025.
