Was Luis Enrique too harsh on Randal Kolo Muani? On RMC, Christophe Dugarry did not hold back in criticizing the PSG coach.
Speaking on Rothen s’enflamme, Dugarry believes Kolo Muani’s struggles in Paris were largely due to Luis Enrique’s management. The €95 million signing never found his footing at PSG before being loaned to Juventus, where he is now thriving and scoring regularly. For Dugarry, this proves that Enrique failed to instill confidence in him: “A coach’s job is to develop his players. He didn’t give him enough confidence. He didn’t suddenly become good overnight at Juve. He has always had an impeccable attitude.”
Rothen Backs Luis Enrique
However, Jérôme Rothen disagrees, arguing that Kolo Muani simply didn’t fit Enrique’s system: “Luis Enrique quickly realized that Kolo Muani was not suited for his system or for PSG. He made a fair decision based on the player’s actual level. Last season, he had playing time but struggled to adapt.”
A debate that divides opinions, while Kolo Muani continues to shine in Serie A.
