Paris Saint-Germain has been on fire lately, with a historic Champions League qualification against Liverpool and a dominant win over Marseille. But is the club actually better off without Kylian Mbappé? The former PSG forward gives his take.
In an interview with Le Parisien, Mbappé was asked about PSG’s recent success but quickly brushed off the discussion:
“It’s not something that concerns me… I watch all football matches, including PSG’s. I truly wish them the best. But I’m focused on Real Madrid and the historic treble we can achieve.”
The French star is fully concentrated on Real Madrid’s ambition to win LaLiga, the Champions League, and the Copa del Rey in the same season—a first in club history.
Mbappé & Al-Khelaïfi: Tensions Behind Them?
When asked about his relationship with PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaïfi and their ongoing legal dispute, Mbappé sought to downplay any lingering conflict.
“Of course, I would shake his hand. And no, I wouldn’t spit in my hand before doing so (laughs). The matter is in the hands of the lawyers. I believe it will be resolved soon—it’s not something that worries me.”
While his departure from PSG remains a hot topic, Mbappé seems open to reconciliation, leaving the door slightly ajar for a future thaw in relations.
