Dunkerque will not be able to host PSG at Stade Marcel-Tribut for their Coupe de France semi-final. Due to security regulations and limited capacity, the match will instead take place at Stade Pierre-Mauroy in Lille.
The northern club had hoped to welcome this historic fixture at home, but the French Football Federation’s requirements and the expected high attendance made it impossible. Despite this relocation, Dunkerque assures that the decision was made with their supporters in mind, who will have ticketing priority.
“Since the draw, we have always favored playing at Stade Tribut, our home,” stated the USLD management. “However, the conditions imposed by the Federation, including 2,000 mandatory invitations, over 250 allocated away supporters, and strict security measures due to the large PSG fan presence, make it unfeasible.”
After exploring all possible alternatives, the club ultimately decided, in consultation with various stakeholders, to move the match to Lille. “This decision, although difficult, was made in the best interest of our club and supporters,” added the current third-placed team in Ligue 2.
