Mission accomplished! After a stunning victory at Anfield against Liverpool, Paris Saint-Germain is now fully focused on the Champions League quarter-finals.
With a goal from Ousmane Dembélé and a penalty shootout triumph, PSG eliminated the Premier League leaders, proving once again they are serious contenders for the title.
A More Manageable Opponent on Paper
For the next round, PSG will face either Aston Villa or Club Brugge. After a 3-1 away win, Aston Villa holds a strong advantage heading into Wednesday’s second leg.
A Favorable Schedule for PSG
With the quarter-finals set for April 8 and 15, Paris has an opportunity to rotate their squad. In between, they will play a French Cup semi-final against Dunkerque, a home match vs. Angers, and an away trip to Nantes.
Additionally, if everything goes according to plan, PSG could wrap up the Ligue 1 title by the end of March, allowing them to fully focus on their Champions League ambitions.
Is the road to the semi-finals wide open? We’ll find out in April!
