PSG dominates Brest and secures qualification, just a week after their 3-0 first-leg victory.
Paris Saint-Germain delivered a brutal 7-0 thrashing against Brest on Wednesday in the second leg of the Champions League playoffs. Beyond the impressive scoreline, PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaïfi expressed his satisfaction with the team’s collective performance, highlighting their total control over the match.
“It was a great game for our club and another demonstration of the team project we are building, not only reflected by the seven different scorers tonight but also by the entire squad. Once again, we played as a collective,” the Qatari leader told L’Équipe.
The PSG president also paid tribute to Brest, recognizing their efforts in the competition: “I would like to pay special tribute to Brest, who represented France and French football with honor in this Champions League campaign. President Le Saint, Yann (Kerdraon), Pascal (Robert), Grégory (Lorenzi), and the entire Brest team are building something for the long term and have always treated us with great respect. It was an honor for PSG to face a club that French football can be proud of over these past two weeks,” added Al-Khelaïfi.
