The French Professional Football League (LFP) is set to organize a tribute on all Ligue 1 and Ligue 2 pitches during the upcoming weekends.

The LFP, along with the entire professional French football community, will unite this weekend to pay tribute to Dominique Bernard, a victim of a terrorist attack in Arras, the two Swedish supporters who tragically lost their lives in a separate terrorist incident during the Belgium-Sweden match, as well as the numerous innocent victims of the recent tragic events in Israel and Palestine, as announced by the league in a statement.

Before the kick-off of the matches in the 9th round of Ligue 1 Uber Eats and the 11th round of Ligue 2 BKT, a minute of silence will be observed in memory of Dominique Bernard, a French teacher who was fatally stabbed on Friday, October 13th at the Gambetta-Carnot high school in Arras. Additionally, the tribute will honor the two Swedish supporters who came to watch the Euro 2024 qualification match between Belgium and Sweden and were tragically murdered by a terrorist in Brussels on Tuesday, October 16th, as well as the multiple victims of the recent tragic events in Israel and Palestine.
