Nordi Mukiele is gradually returning to competition after months of injury recovery. However, for the moment, Luis Enrique prefers other options.

Against Strasbourg, PSG’s right-back was none other than Carlos Soler. Luis Enrique is known for his creative lineups, and this one was no exception. This might have been a bit hard to accept for Nordi Mukiele, especially when Hakimi was rested.

“Soler at right-back? I wouldn’t say it’s frustrating because it’s the coach’s choice. Carlos had a good game. That’s good for the team,” commented Mukiele.

Regarding Hakimi, Mukiele acknowledged his strong start to the season. “He’s had a great start to the season. He’s been decisive and solid defensively. It’s crucial for us. Maybe he’s in my position, but we wear the same shirt. If Achraf performs well, I’m very happy. We’re not just one player; we’re playing football, not tennis,” the defender remarked.

For Mukiele, the essential thing is being on the field. “I love being on the pitch, no matter where. I started on the left and finished on the right. I derive immense pleasure from playing. It’s been more than six months since I last played. Playing for twenty minutes did me good. It’s up to me to continue and convince the coach that I can help this team.”
