McDonald’s Naming Ligue 1 Confirmed: Contract Details Revealed

McDonald’s is set to take over the naming rights of Ligue 1, replacing Uber Eats, and the contract details have been unveiled.

Contrary to any perception of the Ligue 1 not being attractive, McDonald’s sees it differently. The fast-food giant will be the new naming sponsor after Uber Eats. According to Foot Mercato, it’s confirmed that the French championship will indeed be called Ligue 1 McDonald’s next season.

And with an astonishing offer. McDonald’s has put forth a staggering offer of €30 million per year for the naming rights of Ligue 1.

The Biggest Naming Offer Yet in Football

Uber Eats had offered €15 million per year over the past three seasons and was willing to increase this offer to €19 million per year. This sets an absolute record compared to the €20 million per year offer made by TIM for Serie A.

The Ligue de Football Professionnel (LFP) is said to have reached an agreement with McDonald’s to become its partner next season. The contract signing between the two parties is scheduled for March 20th.
