Following the 1-1 draw against Lille, Paris Saint-Germain’s coach, Luis Enrique, shared his thoughts on the team’s performance in northern France during an interview with Prime Video.

Luis Enrique gives Mbappé complete freedom. Even though he has been playing as a center-forward in recent matches, the player is free to roam wherever he wishes on the field. However, it wasn’t enough for PSG, as they were caught in the final seconds by Lille, resulting in a 1-1 final score.

“Frustrated? Yes, to be honest, yes, because I think we played 80 good minutes against a very good team. We pressed well, defended well, but in the last 10 minutes, it’s really a shame. We lost control, and we couldn’t hold onto the victory. Why Zaire Emery on the right? We tried something different to have more options. We did well for 90 minutes against a superb opponent. Everything was under control; we were leading, and I need to review the end of the match, but it’s very frustrating. We were just two or three minutes away.”

“Why play Mbappé in the center? Kylian plays wherever he wants. He has total, complete freedom to play inside or outside, and we balance it. The difference is who will follow Mbappé, a forward inside or outside. Is he frustrated? You have to ask him. I was happy for him.”
