Benjamin Morel, the CEO of LFP Media, has indicated that the LFP (Ligue de Football Professionnel) is considering the possibility of relocating Ligue 1 matches to the United States.

While awaiting the TV rights allocation for the upcoming seasons, Ligue 1 is looking to expand and attract audiences by offering French championship matches in the United States. “We will work closely with our future broadcast partner to provide meaningful matches in the United States,” explained Benjamin Morel, the CEO of LFP Media.

“In my previous roles, I participated in many international matches, and I know that what’s important is their significance. It can’t be just meaningless matches. They must be matches that matter. We want to do this in the long term, not just occasional small exhibition matches,” he stated to Sports Business Journal.
