“This is just the beginning”: Nasser Al-Khelaïfi reveals PSG’s ambitious plans

Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, the president of Paris Saint-Germain, has shared his thoughts in the Financial Times following the agreement between the Parisian club, QSI, and the American company Arctos.

The PSG president reassures fans who may have speculated about a sale, emphasizing that this is not the case. Instead, the arrival of Arctos marks the beginning of a new era in PSG’s development.

Al-Khelaïfi expressed his pride in initiating PSG’s economic construction, highlighting the need to move to the “next level.” Under the leadership of the American group Arctos, PSG will focus on building a new culture and economic plan.

The PSG is set to expand in the USA with the goal of increasing international merchandising sales and aiming for annual sales exceeding one billion euros. The opening of stores in cities such as New York, Doha, Los Angeles, Tokyo, Seoul, Miami, and Las Vegas is already underway, marking a significant first step. Club promotional tours are expected to become more frequent in the United States in the coming years.

With TV rights in Ligue 1 facing challenges in France, PSG is seeking new revenue streams. Through sponsorship, merchandising, ticketing, and hospitality, PSG aims to expand. Additionally, the club is considering the expansion of its stadium to further increase these revenue sources.

“We are very proud of our heritage in Paris and France – Paris is our home. But we are also in contact with fans from around the world, and we inspire them… believe me, this is just the beginning,” assures PSG’s president.

“We are building a team that truly plays as a team. We want our players to enjoy playing, our team to enjoy coaching, and our supporters to enjoy watching.”
