While his former club PSG suffered a heavy defeat against Newcastle (4-1), Neymar, who has been relatively quiet since his departure, posted an enigmatic message on his social media platforms.
It read, “It’s not every day that an athlete receives a standing ovation from the opposing crowd. It’s not a coincidence to see your talent recognized and revered worldwide. It’s the result of hard work, an intense search for challenges, and the joy of doing what you love.”
This message has raised questions about whether Neymar was taking a subtle jab at PSG supporters who didn’t spare him during his final months in Paris.
