Kylian Mbappé remained silent on Friday regarding his future plans, and according to Jérôme Rothen, there’s a reason behind it.

Mbappé addressed the media to announce… nothing at all. “I haven’t announced anything because I had nothing to announce. I always said that when I had something to say, I would come to say it like a man. Since I didn’t do it, it means I have nothing to announce.”

“I’ve said that it’s not a topic. We’re in the final sprint. The idea of achieving a treble is more important than whether I stay or not. We’re really focused on that. The day I have something to announce, I’ll come. I’ve never hidden. Sorry to disappoint, but I have nothing juicy to announce,” KM told the press.

For Jérôme Rothen, this is normal. With his contract expiring in June, Mbappé is likely to reveal his next destination only when PSG is eliminated from the Champions League.

“He will sign with Real Madrid. I’m not telling anyone anything new. He will announce it before the Euros. He will announce it when PSG is eliminated from the Champions League if PSG doesn’t reach the final or if Real is eliminated from the Champions League against Manchester City or in the semi-finals. As long as there’s a possibility of PSG-Real Madrid, he won’t announce anything,” judged the RMC consultant.
