In an interview with Spanish television, Dinorah Santana, the ex-wife of Dani Alves, discusses her own situation and that of the former Brazilian full-back who is in prison for alleged sexual assault.

Dinorah Santana, who divorced Dani Alves in 2011 and shares two children with him, used strong words in her recent interview on the Cuatro channel. She spoke out several months after the alleged sexual assault case began, stating, “For me, he doesn’t exist anymore. He’s dead to me. I’ve always kept my head down, never caused any scenes or scandals.”

Initially, she had supported the player, believing in his innocence. She admitted, “No one pressured me, but I did it to help the father of my children. They used me when I wanted to help. Being the children of an alleged rapist is very unpleasant. I want him to disappear from my life.”

Dani Alves has been in prison since January on charges of “sexual assault.” The alleged incident took place in the restroom of a trendy nightclub in Barcelona on the night of December 30-31, 2022.

The former PSG player initially denied the allegations but later changed his story multiple times and eventually confessed to a “consensual” sexual encounter.
