Former Paris Saint-Germain player during the early QSI era, Ezequiel Lavezzi, was reportedly admitted to the hospital in Uruguay on Wednesday. The ex-Argentinian international forward was said to have been stabbed during an altercation, sustaining injuries to the abdomen.

According to information from South American press, notably Clarin, the former Argentinian forward Ezequiel Lavezzi was admitted to a hospital in Punta del Este, Uruguay. Reports indicate that he fell victim to a knife attack, with a “small penetrating wound to the abdomen as well as a clavicle fracture.”

Journalist German García Grova from Tyc Sports provided an alternative version of events leading to police intervention. According to this account, Lavezzi fell from a ladder while attempting to change a light bulb, injuring his abdomen and clavicle after hitting furniture during the fall. These details offer a different perspective on the circumstances of the incident compared to the initial information suggesting a possible knife attack.

Retired for over four years, Lavezzi has spent his free time traveling the world and participating in festivities. However, this celebratory lifestyle has been accompanied by a few incidents.

In May 2020, the former PSG player was the target of an attempted sex tape extortion, leading him to file a complaint for extortion and the dissemination of private images.
