Kylian Mbappé Discusses France’s Imminent Challenges: Winning the Euro with Les Bleus… and the Ballon d’Or.

Kylian Mbappé continues to make headlines in the European press. Sport Bild unveiled an exclusive interview with the future Real Madrid player. This time, the focus is on Euro 2024, which kicks off this Friday. And Mbappé is motivated.

“It’s the first ‘normal’ Euro for me. In 2021, the tournament was held in many countries, and the feeling was different. That’s why I’m looking forward to it starting. Of course, I want to leave my mark on the field during the Euro. We’re coming to Germany to make history. It’s our job. We’re ready, hungry for success, and we know what we have to do,” he said.

“We can do something good for our country if we bring the trophy home. We’ll have to take it step by step. We must first have a good group phase, then we’ll see,” he added.

And Then, There’s the Ballon d’Or, Obviously

“We have a very strong team, everyone knows it, and we don’t have to repeat it every time. We’re coming to Germany with great ambitions, but also with a lot of humility. We lost the last World Cup final. The Euro is a very tough competition, both tactically and in terms of intensity. Almost every team knows each other inside out. That makes things very difficult. We already experienced that in 2021.”

While winning the Euro is the number one goal, there’s also the Ballon d’Or. “It’s always been my wish. Even as a child, I wanted to become the best player one day. I will continue to give everything and work hard to achieve this goal. Because it’s my job, and it’s part of my life: constantly improving – without losing the pleasure,” he affirmed.
