PSG officials gathered in recent days in Doha, Qatar, for a mid-season review. It seems to have been a bit tense.

PSG is leading Ligue 1, qualified in the Coupe de France, and about to play its Champions League Round of 16. Things are better than in previous seasons in terms of results. However, behind the scenes, it reportedly hasn’t been as smooth. According to Paris Team, the summit meeting held in Doha, Qatar, was not a walk in the park.

“These results do not seem to fully satisfy the high authorities of the club. The leaders have clearly expressed their discontent, highlighting in particular the playing style of coach Luis Enrique, deemed not very understandable, as well as the lack of desire and determination shown by the team,” the source states.

In Doha, the emir is particularly concerned about PSG’s playing style. It is described as lacking passion, without apparent enthusiasm. “The team must demonstrate tangible progress to maintain the hope and enthusiasm of the supporters, who show signs of disengagement and struggle to identify with the team,” Paris Team reports, citing the conclusions of this meeting.

PSG managed to significantly increase its revenue last season, and the current season seems to be progressing quite well. However, the coming months will be crucial. PSG needs to convince current sponsors, who signed deals when Messi and Neymar were present, to continue the adventure with the club.

Sportingly, PSG is searching for a style, a soul. It needs to find them, and quickly. “This strong message has been directly conveyed to the sporting direction, embodied by Luis Campos,” Paris Team asserts.
