Paris Saint-Germain is set to bring in Lucas Beraldo and Gabriel Moscardo this winter, but they also plan to offload some of their players during the January transfer window.

Hugo Ekitike and Layvin Kurzawa. Two unwanted players. Two players to be sold in the coming days according to Le Parisien.

For Hugo Ekitike and Layvin Kurzawa, it’s notably Luis Enrique’s decision that pushes PSG to want to sell them quickly. Additionally, their hefty salaries are a factor: €600,000/month for the forward and €500,000/month for the defender.

However, it won’t be easy: Layvin Kurzawa will be out of contract next June and can negotiate freely with a club to sign for free in a few months. PSG will, therefore, find it challenging to sell him this winter as Kurzawa is likely to hold onto his contract.

Hugo Ekitike is under contract until 2027. West Ham, Crystal Palace, and Lyon have shown interest, but negotiations are complicated due to his high salary demands.

Hugo Ekitike, valued at €15 million, remains popular in England and Germany, and a loan seems to be the preferred solution for the Parisian management. Regarding Layvin Kurzawa, valued between €2.5 and €5 million, Ligue 1 clubs might show interest if he accepts a salary reduction, coupled with a substantial signing bonus.

Le Parisien concludes by stating that, apart from these two players, Luis Enrique does not plan any other departures. Although intentions to leave have been reported for Carlos Soler, the Parisian management has dismissed this possibility, considering the entire squad necessary in the quest for a triple in the Champions League, league, and the French Cup.
