SG is considering recruiting Kephren Thuram to strengthen the midfield, but Nice doesn’t necessarily agree with this plan.
According to PSG Inside Actus on X, the Parisian club is making a strong effort to sign Thuram’s son. However, Nice’s officials have “currently vetoed a possible departure of K. Thuram,” according to this source. Why? Because Nice is close to qualifying for the Champions League next season, and the leaders don’t want to strengthen a direct competitor. “It therefore seems almost impossible to conclude his transfer during the winter transfer window,” assures this source.
However, “Nice would be willing to sell Thuram if Paris Saint-Germain agrees to loan him immediately for the rest of the season,” notes the X account.
But another factor is complicating the matter… Kephren Thuram injured his knee this week. The return is “hoped for early January,” according to coach Francesco Farioli. “He took a blow to one knee during a training session,” he explained. “As a result, there is a bit of fluid in that knee (synovial effusion). There is some work to be done to restore its full stability.” Will PSG take the risk of signing an injured player?
