Luis Enrique expressed his satisfaction with Paris Saint-Germain’s qualification for the UEFA Champions League Round of 16 after a 1-1 draw against Borussia Dortmund on the sixth matchday of the group stage.
PSG is still in the process of fine-tuning, and Luis Enrique emphasized this after the narrow qualification on Wednesday night.
“I am very happy because throughout these six matches, we have shown a clear idea: the idea of winning every game,” stated the Spanish coach during the press conference. “I haven’t seen any match where PSG didn’t attack and didn’t create goal-scoring opportunities. We have always created more situations than our opponents.”
According to Luis Enrique, the players need time to adapt. “What makes me optimistic is that there were eleven signings this summer, a new staff, a new training center—everything is new. I have no doubt that in February, we will be much stronger.”
