Achraf Hakimi, currently with Paris Saint-Germain, got his start in the Real Madrid first team under the guidance of coach Zinedine Zidane back in 2017.

Hakimi remains grateful to Zidane for the opportunity he was given. Following his time at Real Madrid, Hakimi was loaned to Borussia Dortmund for two seasons before making his move to Inter Milan. It was through these experiences that he was able to develop as a player.

In his own words, Hakimi expressed his gratitude:

“The one who had faith in me and gave me the opportunity to play for Real Madrid, especially as a professional, is Zidane. Having him as a coach was incredible: learning from him, listening to him, especially for a young player living his dream. So, I tried to absorb everything he said I needed to learn, and it all proved useful when I left Real for Germany.”
