Renato Sanches will not be retained by the Italian club AS Roma at the end of the season.

The loan spell for Renato Sanches has been unsuccessful. AS Roma will not trigger the purchase option for the Portuguese midfielder, as reported by Gazzetta dello Sport.

Due to his recurring injuries, he has only participated in 6.5% of the matches this season. This purchase option of 11 million euros would have been activated if the player had taken part in 55% of the club’s matches this season.

However, due to his health issues, this purchase option will not be exercised. Renato Sanches will return to PSG at the end of the season. He has a contract with the Parisian club that runs until June 2027.
